The Detail Work

Your AR-15 rifle or registered SBR runs a Strike Industries FSA Dual or Single folder, and you want a real stock end on it in place of the stabilizer end. This one drops on and gives your shoulder a knurled, one-piece Nylon 12 face with no pad to peel or replace, at 2.1 oz (60 g). A stock on a pistol-length firearm can create an NFA short-barreled rifle, so use it on rifles and registered SBRs only and check your federal, state, and local laws. Left Side Armory is not affiliated with or endorsed by Strike Industries.

  • The texture is part of the Nylon 12 face itself, so there is no rubber pad to peel, tear, or glue back on down the road
  • A soft brush clears dirt and grit out of the knurling, and there is no pad edge for grime to work under
  • The open center is how the part stays at 2.1 oz (60 g), keeping weight off the back of your rifle
  • Fits as a direct replacement for the stabilizer end or a worn end on the Strike Industries FSA Dual and Single folders
  • At 0.75 in. (19 mm) wide, the end stays slim at the back of your folder instead of adding bulk
Knurled Face, No Pad to Peel

Knurled Face, No Pad to Peel

he knurling runs across the full 5.375 in. (137 mm) butt face and is part of the Nylon 12 itself. A soft brush clears dirt out of it, and there is no pad edge to lift.

Direct Fit on the FSA Folder

Direct Fit on the FSA Folder

The mount lines up with the same screw holes the stabilizer end used on your FSA Dual or Single folder. Back the factory screws out, swap the ends, and drive them back in.

Open Center Design

Open Center Design

The center of the stock end is open rather than solid, which is how the part stays light. It runs 2.375 in. (60 mm) from the adapter mount to the butt face, so the end stays compact behind your folder.

Fitment first — everything you need to confirm this product works for you before you buy.

Will this stock end fit my Strike Industries FSA folding adapter?

It is built for the Strike Industries FSA Dual Folder and the FSA Single Folder, and it mounts where the stabilizer end attaches on either one. If your folder currently wears the stabilizer end, or an end piece that has worn out, this replaces it directly. It is not designed for other brands of folding adapters, so confirm you are running an FSA Dual or Single before you order. The Strike Industries and FSA names are used here only to identify what this part fits. Left Side Armory is not affiliated with or endorsed by Strike Industries.

What do I need to install it, and is hardware included?

No hardware ships with it. The stock end is designed around the factory screws from the stabilizer end it replaces, so the install is a screws-out, screws-in swap. Remove the screws holding the stabilizer end to your FSA folder, pull the stabilizer end off, set the stock end in its place, and drive the same screws back in. A driver or hex key that fits your existing screws is all it takes. If you no longer have the stabilizer end's factory screws, source matching screws before you install. Check the screws now and then, the same way you would any other screw on your rifle.

Is it legal to put this stock end on my firearm?

That depends on what the firearm is. Installing a stock on a pistol-length firearm can create a short-barreled rifle under the National Firearms Act, which is a serious federal violation if the firearm is not registered. This stock end is intended for rifles and for SBRs that are already registered with the ATF. If you are unsure how your firearm is classified, sort that out before you install anything. Check your federal, state, and local laws before installation, since state and local rules can be stricter than federal law.

How does the knurled butt face feel without a rubber pad?

The stock end is all Nylon 12, with no rubber pad on the back. The 5.375 in. (137 mm) tall butt face is knurled instead, and that texture is what grips your shoulder and resists slipping. You will notice it most when you mount the rifle quickly or shoot from awkward positions, where a smooth face tends to slide around. A smooth face tends to slide when you shoulder fast, and the knurl is there to stop that. With no glued pad, there is no adhesive to fail. If you prefer a softer feel, keep in mind this is a firm surface by design.

Does it have QD sockets or sling points?

No. It has no built-in QD sockets or sling loops, so plan your sling attachment elsewhere on the rifle. The open center keeps it at 2.1 oz (60 g), and it runs 2.375 in. (60 mm) from the adapter mount to where your shoulder engages. That keeps the end light and compact on the back of your FSA folder. If you want built-in QD points on the stock end itself, this is not that part. Care is simple: wipe it down and use a soft brush to clear debris out of the knurling.
