Trigger Vaults: Trigger Guard Covers for Pocket and Purse Carry
Trigger Vaults are trigger guard covers, each shaped for one pocket pistol, that tie into a purse, bag or pocket. The line is a choice of pistol, not of style: pick the version made for the gun you carry. Some shoppers know the idea as a trigger guard holster, but a vault covers the trigger guard alone and leaves the rest of the pistol open, so it stays slimmer than a full pocket holster for concealed carry. A cord from the tether hole to your bag, a pocket or your belt holds the vault back on the draw, and the pistol comes out bare instead of carrying a soft holster out with it.
Each Trigger Vault fits one pistol, so start with the gun you carry. The S&W Bodyguard 2.0 version fits the standard Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0, not the original Bodyguard 380. The KelTec PR-3AT version is made for the PR-3AT only, not the original P-3AT or the P-32. Both are made from Nylon-12, press on and come off by hand with no tools, and hold by friction on the trigger guard. No cord or lanyard is included with either one, so plan on your own 550 paracord or a split ring for your purse, bag or pocket.

Pick Your Pistol
A Trigger Vault is shaped for one pistol's trigger guard, so the gun you carry makes the choice. The Bodyguard 2.0 version won't fit the PR-3AT, and the PR-3AT version won't fit the Bodyguard 2.0. Find your pistol below and order that version.

Check the Exact Fit
Close isn't good enough on a part that fits one trigger guard, so check the exclusions before you order. The Bodyguard 2.0 version is listed for the standard model only: it does not fit the original Bodyguard 380, and we haven't confirmed fit on the thumb-safety or Carry Comp versions of the Bodyguard 2.0. The PR-3AT version does not fit the original KelTec P-3AT or the KelTec P-32. Neither version fits with a laser, light or anything mounted below the barrel. Plan Your Tie-Off
The tie-off works the same on both versions: the cord anchors the vault where the pistol rides, so the draw strips it off and leaves it there. Tie a short cord to the matching point below, short enough that it pulls tight while part of the pistol is still in the bag or pocket.
- Purse or tote: tie to an inside D-ring, strap ring or strap anchor
- Sling bag or waist pack: tie to an inside loop or seam
- Pocket carry: tie to a belt loop or your belt, or to the inside of the pocket bag when your shorts have no belt loops
Bring Your Own Cord
No cord or lanyard comes with either Trigger Vault. You supply the tether, which lets you choose the length and style that suits your purse, bag or pocket. The tether hole fits 550 paracord or a split ring, and it's large enough for a fingertip, so you can also pull the vault off by hand. Have a length of 550 paracord or a split ring on hand when your vault arrives, and tie it with a knot that won't slip loose.

Which Trigger Vault fits my pistol?
Each Trigger Vault fits one pistol model. The S&W Bodyguard 2.0 version fits the standard Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 and does not fit the original Bodyguard 380. The KelTec PR-3AT version is made for the PR-3AT only and does not fit the original P-3AT or the P-32. Match the version to the pistol you carry, and if you're unsure, send us the model details and we'll tell you what we know.
I carry a Bodyguard 380, an original P-3AT or a P-32. Is there a version for me?
Not at this time. The Bodyguard 2.0 version doesn't fit the original Bodyguard 380, and the PR-3AT version doesn't fit the original KelTec P-3AT or the P-32. Each vault is shaped for one trigger guard, so a near match won't seat properly. If you'd like to see a version for your pistol, contact us and tell us what you carry.
I carry both pistols. Do I need two?
Yes. Each Trigger Vault fits one model, so a Bodyguard 2.0 and a PR-3AT each need their own. Order the Bodyguard 2.0 version for the Smith & Wesson and the PR-3AT version for the KelTec. Each one also needs its own cord, tied where that pistol rides.
Is a Trigger Vault a holster?
It's a trigger guard cover, not a full holster. People often search for it as a trigger guard holster, and that's close, but the rest of the pistol stays open. Covering only the trigger guard is what keeps it smaller than a full pocket holster in a purse, sling bag or pocket. If you want the whole pistol enclosed, a full holster is the better choice.
Will it fit with a laser or light on my pistol?
No. A Trigger Vault won't seat on a pistol that has a laser, light or anything else mounted below the barrel. Each vault is shaped for the trigger guard of the pistol with nothing mounted on it. If you keep a laser or light on your pistol, a Trigger Vault isn't the right fit for that setup.
Is a cord included with either version?
No. Neither version ships with a cord or lanyard. Plan on 550 paracord or a split ring through the tether hole.
What are they made of, and what's the warranty?
Both Trigger Vaults are made from Nylon-12, which doesn't rust. The Bodyguard 2.0 version weighs 0.63 oz (18 g) and the PR-3AT version 0.53 oz (15 g), so either adds little to a pistol you chose for its size. Both are covered by our Limited Lifetime warranty.
